Buchstabensuppe
2024
This was purely for fun! I set myself a challenge to practice illustration and make my first attempt at packaging design.

When you design visuals for children, you play a pivotal role in shaping their perceptions of the world and its workings. I aimed for packaging that portrays children of diverse appearances, ensuring more kids can see themselves represented. While this may not be the most cost-effective solution, it holds significant social value by teaching children about diversity and inclusion, fostering sustainable attitudes toward society.
The bags inside has all different designs.
The idea came to me when I saw a little boy confidently eating his Buchstabensuppe, with letters all over his face. I initially wanted to create an illustration where the letters spelled out "Buchstabensuppe" across his face. However, I couldn't make it work—the name was too long to fit naturally around the face.
The posters are a homage to the 60s, when freeze-dried food became a household staple. I believe Buchstabensuppe serves the same purpose today as it did back then—quick and practical.
